Following your own movement
Soul Yoga asks how people practising at home could better understand their movements. The proposed system records a session and compares it with a reference, giving the practitioner a way to review differences over time. Its app connects this feedback to choosing a class, recording practice and returning to previous sessions.
Connecting capture and feedback
Camera-based exercise games such as Just Dance provided a starting point for exploring movement evaluation. Research into OpenPose and video compression informed the proposed capture and analysis process.
Cameras and Raspberry Pi hardware would send recordings through an Android app to a server for pose analysis. Reference movements and practice sessions are recorded separately, then compared over time. Device startup and QR pairing are included in the setup flow so that connecting the equipment is part of the exercise experience.

Choosing a session
The app starts with personal information and practice goals, then moves into course discovery and customization. Goals, session length and reminders help shape a suggested class. Recording and gallery functions let people return to their practice, while calendar check-ins keep a record of sessions.
The VR extension offers a choice of environments, including natural settings. Blue and turquoise colors, curved shapes and rounded panels run through the interface and the headset concept, giving the digital and physical parts a shared character.

Taking the experience into VR
The hardware concept combines a headset and capture equipment for home practice. It extends the app’s preparation and review flow into the session itself, with a virtual setting around the exercise. The movement-analysis system and VR experience remain concepts for further development.
