A quieter way to travel
Thunnus explores a commute with more room for each passenger and less of the fatigue associated with a crowded carriage. Individual passenger spaces are the starting point for the vehicle. A companion app extends the experience to planning the journey, making a reservation and accessing a ticket.
Designing around the passenger
Crowding, fatigue and discomfort shaped the brief. Mapping these problems across a daily journey helped identify where the service could change the experience. A business-traveler persona brought the focus onto quiet, comfort and personal space.
The vehicle layout and exterior developed together through sketches. A four-person arrangement gives each passenger a defined space within a rounded shell. The rail-line study explores a separate stopping lane, allowing a vehicle to enter a station while others continue along the main line.

A small carriage with individual spaces
The vehicle has a continuous curved shell with glazed openings and individual passenger areas. Entry points, seating and controls are arranged around these spaces. Bright markings and exterior numbers give the compact vehicle a clear identity.
The booking flow follows the same attention to the individual journey. Passengers choose a trip, compare travel options and make a reservation before boarding. Tickets and account information remain together in the companion app.

Planning the trip
The app brings trip selection, reservations and tickets into one flow.
